Our Staff:
Emily Doyle
I am the founder and Director of Piece by Piece Play Therapy. Born and raised in a small rural town, I thrive off connecting with communities and creating a sense of connection with everyone and in everything I do.
I have worked for more than 10 years in the social welfare sector, working with children, young people, families and communities. I have been employed as a Child Protection Caseworker, School Counsellor, Child Protection Counsellor, Health Coordinator and Educator for various government and non government agencies. My tertiary education was completed locally at Charles Sturt University in Social Sciences and Psychology.
I am completing my Advanced Clinical Training at Play Therapy Training Australia. In addition to these qualifications, I have experience in providing a range of therapies for children including: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Strengths based practice, Narrative Therapy and delivering psychoeducation.
I am a registered member of the Certified Practising Counsellors Australia (CPCA) and abide by their professional standards and code of ethics in all my work. I am also a member of the Play Therapy Practitioners Association (PTPA) and am a Registered Affiliate member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS).
My hope is to help children lead happy, full and meaningful lives. I endeavour to help children be successful in all aspects of their being by enabling them to find their voice, through play, so that they are able to express their needs and ideas. I have a passion to ensure that each child I serve is able to develop safe and secure relationships with those who support and love them the most, in turn enriching individuals, families and communities.
Our Vision
To bring the Riverina and surrounding regions a mental health care service that offers a safe, caring and accepting space to support your child to overcome social, emotional or behavioural difficulties.
Piece by Piece is a neuro-affirming, trauma informed and inclusive practice, where cultural humility is practised at all times. I understand that families come in many shapes and sizes. I value and respect each family for their unique strengths and challenges.
